Pilot Chuck Yeager is the man. Imagine
punching in for work only to break the sound barrier in an experimental
aircraft!
I don't know about you but when I push the envelope the severest injury I might
get is a paper cut!!
I'm super
proud to offer this incredible collectible autographed by Chuck Yeager himself!

Working from exact blueprints,
these replicas are sculptured by master craftsmen from specially
selected treated mahogany wood.
After passing through several stages of sanding and priming, talented artists paint and
detail each model with historically correct markings. This is followed by several coats of
clear lacquer, making each replica a true work of art. Each model is supplied with a
mahogany base for display and is adorned with a plate that reads...
Bell X-1 Rocket Research Plane
Piloted by Brig. Gen. Charles E.
"Chuck" Yeager, USAF (Ret)
On 14 October 1947 General (then Captain) Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager became the
first person to fly faster then the speed of sound. At 10:30 AM on that fall morning Chuck
piloted the X-1 to a speed of Mach 1.06 or 700 mph @ 43,000 feet above the high desert of
California over Muroc Air Base (now Edwards AFB). In doing so this he ushered in a new
era, the Space Age.

& Space Museum in Washington, DC.
Chuck Yeager, still flying high in the 1990's.
General "Chuck" Yeager's "Glamorous Glennis",
accelerates toward Mach 1 on its epic flight. The aircraft's conical nose, modeled on the
lines of a .50 caliber bullet, and the shock diamonds from its exhaust trail, can easily
be seen.
Quick Thought...
If you haven't already, check out the
movie entitled The Right Stuff... the ending scene of the movie with
Yeager makes me sob like a church girl!
